Getting to the Essence

Music Producer Rick Rubin is beloved by artists for developing their authentic voice. His creative methods revolve around being open and asking “what if?”

In The Creative Act: A Way of Being, Rubin advises to make it simple. “If there’s any question as to whether an element serves the piece, it’s probably a good idea to let it go.” He includes a great quote from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, “Perfection is finally obtained not when there is no longer anything to add, but when there’s no longer anything to take away.”

How can we say the thing - or show the thing - in as simple and elegant a way as possible with the least amount of noise? A succinct message is an informative one. It reaches and moves us.

At Richter, our speciality is distilling your message into a compelling story that can then be brought to life with stunning visuals.
